Game Of The Week
Well, I have finally gotten back to my expert trilogy I started in April (https://cschessnews.blogspot.com/2004/04/keep-black-alive.html). This week I have the third and final installment of games from experts who I have beaten.
This week’s game comes from one of the pillars of the Colorado chess community, Buck Buchanan. His resume includes Assistant National Tournament Director, current Colorado Springs Chess Club Officer, former Colorado State Chess Association President, former Colorado Chess Informant Editor, and Monk (among many other things).
I used to think that the difference between experts and class players is that the expert talks like he knows it all while the class player just says stuff to sound smart.
But when I learned that Buck had never heard of the Queen’s Courtyard, I pulled it on him in this game and won. So, see if you are sharp enough to find the super secret…
