This Week In Chess

Monday August 23, 2004

On 8/17, the CSCC had 27 members in attendance.  In the USCF-rated (G90) games, Paul Anderson got the victory over Gerry Sunderland and Andrew Chow defeated Tom Mullikin.

The rest of the group was split into teams of two for a four round Swiss tournament (G15).  The teams could not have a combined rating higher than 3400.  In each round, the higher rated player from each team was paired together while the lower rated player from each team was paired together.  So, the team had a chance to score two points each round.  Here are the final scores:

Question & Answer

Harrumph, but only mildly!  It would not possibly do any harm to note in upcoming events that the Colorado Open is Sep 4-6, in Denver, details as noted on http/www.colorado-chess.com/?  I hope that this is added in the next two editions of CS News, thanks!  -Andy Rea, not unsubscribing!

Andy, I can do better than that.  I’ll put your news in its own article and place it near the top.
