Juliet Vs Friar Tuck

Game Of The Week

To those of you who have tuned in to see Renae Delaware’s upset of Brian Wall, you are in luck.  I have published her game in order to bring you this stunning upset.

She was playing Brian Wall in a simultaneous exhibition during a Halloween Tournament when all of a sudden a bishop came flying out of the back row demolishing Brian’s pawn shield.  Screams filled the air as a pawn and his queen vanished.

When the dust settled, the Black King had been tortured and the bull was still on the ice.  No idea what I am talking about?  Well, just check out this week’s game and maybe my insane ramblings will make a little more sense.  Here are some of Brian’s comments about the game:

“Renae to play and Fishing Pole the Fishing Pole man… Arrgghh - I got beat by my own student in a Fishing Pole miniature.  Renae is a sweetheart - she said the best part was that I was not mad at all, just happy and proud for her.  I guess I am a better actor than I thought - my real feeling was that this puts my simul draw over Shabalov into perspective… There is one part that did make me smile about losing to Renae.  I remember teaching her the Fishing Pole in a park on a lovely day in Colorado Springs so I really did feel like a proud teacher when she executed the attack so well and so unexpectedly against me.  This actually happened.  I was there.  I lived it.”
